As an End of Life Coach, I honor and support you in holding and creating sacred space, personal ritual, spiritual practice and creative choices through dying and deathcare. I believe we can learn to die and in learning to die we actually awaken to life itself.\u00a0 In serving the dying and grieving, I favor conversations in the art of saying good-bye, exploring what death asks of us and deserves, how to prepare oneself consciously for the dying process, the compassionate merits of home family directed funerals, green burial awareness, and the welcoming and witnessing of grief.<\/p>\n

Founder of\u00a0Peacefully Prepared<\/em>, I have most recently developed a Spiritual Care Directive for Buddhists.<\/em>\u00a0 This 10-part signature process guides clients in planning out their end of life practice from their Dharma Vision all the way through to the 49 Days following death.\u00a0 I also encourage end of life wishes and planning in my 5 chapter notebook called a Passing Plan<\/em>. These spiritual and practical processes are an act of self-love in preparing for end of life and an act of kindness to ease the grief and stress of your loved ones.\u00a0 Continuously serving and raising awareness about the home funeral option, clients are able to apply their spiritual practices and create auspicious conditions at the time of death.\u00a0 Having performed in-home funerals for her own family as well as clients, I am passionate about exploring and providing resources for this treasured process.<\/p>\n

I have had the good fortune to study Tibetan Buddhism under Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche for 37 years and serve as a Board and Volunteer Member for Rangjung Yeshe Gomde California (RYG CA), his Tibetan Buddhist Retreat Center.\u00a0 I have had the honor of developing a dying and death program for its community of practitioners and give group talks annually.\u00a0 I also respect the work of Stephen Jenkinson, as well as Andrew Holecek, and have attended his comprehensive program Graceful Exits<\/em>.\u00a0 I regularly retreat for teachings on Phowa and how to navigate the bardos.\u00a0 \u00a0I am honored to facilitate annual on-line gatherings at Tara Mandala, Colorado, in how to prepare for dying by \u201cWriting your Spiritual Care Directive for Buddhists<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

In my own life, I have had the sacred privilege of witnessing my own family members through the dying process, including my mother and father, as well as grandparents, friends and clients.<\/p>\n

My brother, sister and I were deep in a hurricane of emotions and loose ends, totally unprepared at so many levels.\u00a0 Rhonda was my anchor, my guide, my confidant.\u00a0 Standing in loving support during that liminal time while Dad was dying; she literally changed the experience with her calmness and presence of heart and mind.\u00a0 She guided me so that I was able to have my Dad\u2019s body brought directly to my home and helped me lovingly lay him out in my living room.\u00a0 The alternative was to leave his body there in the hospital room for \u201csomeone\u201d to pick up and put in a cold chamber in the basement of the hospital morgue.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>The next day, together we planned a ceremony and celebration of his life which we held there in my home, my Dad\u2019s body draped in honor, love and peace.\u00a0 It was a stunning experience for me and my friends who attended.\u00a0 Rhonda transformed my father\u2019s death into a beautiful, kind and loving tribute.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n
