Hi, I'm Rhonda LoPresti
END OF LIFE COACH, IN-HOME FUNERAL GUIDE
As an End of Life Coach, I am passionate in holding and creating sacred space, personal ritual, spiritual practice and creative choices through dying and deathcare. I believes we can learn to die and in learning to die we actually awaken to life itself. In serving the dying and grieving, I favor conversations in the art of saying good-bye, exploring what death asks of us and deserves, how to prepare oneself consciously for the dying process, the compassionate merits of in-home family directed funerals, green burial awareness, and the welcoming and witnessing of grief.
Founder of Peacefully Prepared, I have most recently developed a Spiritual Care Directive for Buddhists. This 10-part signature process guides clients in planning out their end of life practice from their Dharma Vision all the way through to the 49 Days following death. I also encourage end of life wishes and planning in my 5 chapter notebook called a Passing Plan. These spiritual and practical processes are an act of self-love in preparing for end of life and an act of kindness to ease the grief and stress of your loved ones. Continuously serving and raising awareness about the in-home funeral option, clients are able to apply their spiritual practices and create auspicious conditions at the time of death. Having performed in-home funerals for her own family as well as clients, I am passionate about exploring and providing resources for this treasured process.
A Tibetan Buddhist, I have studied under Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche for 33 years and serve as a Board and Volunteer Member for Rangjung Yeshe Gomde California (RYG CA), his Tibetan Buddhist Retreat Center. I have had the honor of developing a dying and death program for its community of practitioners and give group talks annually. I also respect the work of Stephen Jenkinson, as well as Andrew Holecek and am currently in his 4 part program Graceful Exits. I regularly retreat for teachings on Phowa and how to navigate the bardos. Most recently, I was honored to give talks at Tara Mandala, in Colorado, in how to prepare for dying by “Writing your Spiritual Care Directive for Buddhists”.
In my own life, I have had the sacred privilege of witnessing my own family members through the dying process, including my mother and father, as well as grandparents, friends and clients.
A native resident of San Diego, California, I live life to the fullest with my husband and two teenaged children.

Real Success Stories
Peacefully Prepared helped me come to terms with my passing and guided me through every step of the process of preparing. Rhonda has spent years gathering the materials, prayers and blessings to help us feel ready to release fully when the time comes. She covered both the mundane and spiritual aspects and helped me put my mind at ease knowing that my loose ends are tied up and my loved ones will not be burdened.
Thank you, Rhonda, for being a guiding light through this journey with us. Thank you for the 24/7 presence, the texts and messages throughout the day, and the night vigils. Your presence and educating me allowed calm to come through me, knowing I was not alone.
Thank you for having my back and educating me on what is possible during these times. If you live in San Diego I highly suggest you learn more about her if you are preparing a loved one through this sacred rite from life through death.
Working with Rhonda LoPresti on my end of life planning documents and my spiritual plan has been a real joy and of great benefit to me and my family. Having this binder completed with all my pertinent information as well as my spiritual directive has been such a comfort. I know things are taken care of! Having worked through my Father’s and my Partner’s death with no documents really made me realize how important making your wishes known are to the people you love.
Rhonda is so skillful, helpful, and truly great at what she does. I can’t recommend her enough!
My Dad was dying in the hospital. My brother, sister and I were deep in a hurricane of emotions and loose ends, totally unprepared at so many levels. Rhonda was my anchor, my guide, my confidant. Standing in loving support during that liminal time while Dad was dying; she literally changed the experience with her calmness and presence of heart and mind. She guided me so that I was able to have my Dad’s body brought directly to my home and helped me lovingly lay him out in my living room. The alternative was to leave his body there in the hospital room for “someone” to pick up and put in a cold chamber in the basement of the hospital morgue.
The next day, together we planned a ceremony and celebration of his life which we held there in my home, my Dad’s body draped in honor, love and peace. It was a stunning experience for me and my friends who attended. Rhonda transformed my father’s death into a beautiful, kind and loving tribute.
I know first-hand of Rhonda’s expertise as she gently navigated me through my grief and mourning process.
Rhonda coaches from the heart. Her openness and unique skillset give her the ability to extraordinarily guide clients in navigating the process of end of life planning, grief, and mourning the loss of a loved one.
I highly recommend Rhonda and feel blessed to have had her presence in my time of need.
We had an in-home funeral ceremony thanks to the incredible wisdom, guidance and friendship of Rhonda.
Her expertise and insight into the process of death and dying was healing beyond words.
